Sometimes someone shoots a project or lives their life in such a pure, devoted way that it makes one stop and look at how one is relating to their own life. When I first saw this project by Annie Marie Musselman, I had this feeling.
And these projects are usually full of love. And strength. Because it takes strength to love. To face what others don’t want to or are not compelled to look at. But it has its’ own rewards.
In her work she “strives to confront the destructive side of human impact on the survival of all wild creatures.” Finding Trust was shot seven years ago at the Sarvey Wildlife Care Center and features very intimate images of wild animals that show both their vulnerability and nobility. I don’t think one can look without being inspired to look within.
Please take a few minutes to visit her site to see the full project and her other work. She is currently working on a project photographing animals in specific sanctuaries around the world to raise awareness of the fragility and beauty of endangered/indicator species—animals which if saved, would save countless other species as well.
